Goddess of Kalahari

Cross tangent claws of blackened oasis
690 sand castles and ghostly sand storms
Witness grim slaves with no master
Like a poem without allegory
Witness a camel passing by without its back
Like a fragile smile turning into camphor
Witness a shop with no owner
As they salt their nectar in sheer ecstasy

I’m allured and blinded
Counting hours blind-folded
Suffocating fragrances of lily
As her shrine beaming high
The beheaded goddess of Kalahari
Armed with captivating genital beauty
A sword of rust slaying her preys
Mother of dessert serpents
Venomous!!! .. Her desires
Poisoned all kings wine
Seduced every trespasser

Kingdom of witches
Desert mermaids wrapped in doubts
Priests caged in caves of rot
A mother in disguise on flying carpet
Trading plural affections
Snake charmers tied up, spewing venom
Exorcism on cherubs for no evil possession

Demented evil queen of voracity
Her empire of contradictions
Amidst rancid sands and tombs
Enchantress and an executioner
Of all her enemies
She killed God in her land
Hermit of ceaseless misery
Still re-writing constitution for the land of damned
Somewhere in Kalahari
